Terms and conditions
The 2009 competition has now closed.
The following rules ("Rules") together with the general and competition terms and conditions of Ten Alps Digital (the "Terms and Conditions") apply to the 'Kent TV presents Animate and Create' website competition (the "Competition"). A school or individual ("Entrant") will be deemed to have read and agreed to the Rules and the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available at www.KentTV.com
The Competition is open to all students and pupils in full-time education aged 18 or under.
The closing date for entries to the Competition is 5pm on 24th April 2009.
To be eligible for entry to the Competition, the film has to be made within Kent, and the creators must attend a school (primary, secondary or college) within the county. The films can be made at home or within a community group, but the entry must be submitted through a school. The film must consist of at least 50% animated footage and be based on the theme of 'Cleaner, Greener, Safer'.
Running length for films is a maximum of 30 seconds.
The animation produced within the films must have been produced after April 2006.
Schools may submit more than one entry if more than one class or group of pupils wish to take part.
Films must be uploaded as a video file before the deadline, using the Competition site on Kent TV. In the event of a problem uploading, entries can be posted, but must be postmarked no later than the 24th April 2009. Please post entries, along with the relevant information from the upload form, to;

All films submitted must not contain material deemed unsuitable for pre-watershed viewing. Films must therefore not contain any swearing, indecent images, or scenes of extreme violence. Films must not contain commercial or copyrighted music and/or content. Kent TV reserves the right to disqualify any film it deems as unsuitable for pre-watershed public viewing.
There is no submission fee.
Please check videos before submitting them to see that they play correctly in their entirety.
Please do not send any master copies or digital imagery which you value. If you need your film returned, please contact Kent TV before submitting it at the address above or via Animate@KentTV.com
The winner's school will receive an animation kit. There will also be prizes of either animation DVDs or books for the schools of the runners up.
All awards and prizes will be selected by a panel of judges chosen by Kent TV, The Clean Kent Campaign and Animate and Create. The judges' decision is final.
By submitting your film, you give Kent TV, Animate and Create and The Clean Kent Campaign the right to use it, in whole or in part, in any advertising material and for any media promotion, including use on television, radio and websites. Kent TV, Animate and Create and The Clean Kent Campaign will not claim ownership of the rights to your film and will only use your film for promotional or educational purposes, and will endeavour to provide an acknowledgement of the school through which the film is submitted. If for any reason you have objections to this, please contact us before submitting your film.
