Swale is windswept marshes, cherry orchards, exploded gunpowder works, art deco façades with angles of industrial sites that slant towards retail parks. Bright, upbeat, subdued and thoughtful. Swale is inspiring - its Kent's forgotten corner. 795 is art from Swale.A highly original mix of sculpture, painting and photography, interspersing incisive social observations with poetic imagery.

Duns Scotus - £85 Concessions available, proof of eligibility required Students (16 yrs and over): £50 Over 60s: £50
It is certainly true that the medieval Franciscan theologian-philosopher Duns Scotus [1266-1308"> is probably the most difficult of the medieval theologian-philosophers to grasp. His soubriquet 'The Subtle Doctor' evinces to his complexity and yet while very challenging, Duns Scotus is the most rewarding of the medieval thinkers. Interwoven with profound philosophical and theological through and insight on matters as varied as Being, Intuition, Cognition, Self-Change, Individuation, Will, Trinty, Incarnation, Sacrements, the role and place of Mary, there is an extraordinary spirituality of creation and the human person which is deeply rooted in the Franciscan Intellectual and Spiritual Tradition. This course explores the mind and heart of Duns Scotus to reveal not just one of the great theological and philosophical masters of the Middle Ages but also one of the great spiritual masters of Franciscanism.
All fees are payable before the start of the course. Please note that refreshments will not be provided. Please note we regret that we cannot return fees to students who withdraw from the course.www.franciscans.ac.uk
